It’s the world’s favorite grape. Is it yours?

Logo for EventbriteWe at Parker Sanpei love a good Chardonnay: everything from Burgundy and Chablis to the Finger Lakes and Edna Valley gets us purring. So when we heard that the world’s foremost gathering of Chardonnay producers will take place in our backyard, we bought our tickets right away. The International Chardonnay Symposium will feature top global Chardonnay winemakers during this year’s events, May 28-30, 2015 at The Dolphin Bay Resort & Spa and The Cliffs Resort in Pismo Beach, California.

Savor the Central Coast has Arrived

Tomorrow, the premier wine and food event of the West Coast kicks off in our own backyard! Savor the Central Coast, brought to you by Sunset magazine and the San Luis Obispo County Visitors and Conference Bureau, attracts more than 10,000 regional and national consumers to enjoy world-class food and wine throughout San Luis Obispo County. Held September 27 – 30, this full weekend experience offers it all.

The Main Event, hosted at the historic Santa Margarita Ranch, presents attendees a plethora of opportunities to taste (both literal and experiential) all things Central Coast. As fans of the many flavors and activities on the Central Coast, we at Parker Sanpei & Associates are really looking forward to the collection of celebrity chefs, winemakers, brewmasters, fishermen, farmers, artisan culinary purveyors, local bands and Sunset lifestyle experts. Tickets to the Main Event are $85/day or $150 for the weekend; considering the abundance of choices, a weekend pass is definitely recommended.

If your plan is to see, do and taste it all, we recommend starting at the Infiniti test drive, then bouncing between the flavors of the Marketplace, Sunset at Home, Central Coast Pavilion and Farmer’s Market to Meal, before finishing your day with the festivities found in the Estrada Garden. More than 100 wineries and 30 local chefs will be featured at the Main Event. Leave time in your weekend to take the Central Coast submersion to the next level by attending one of the seminars. Only $20 each, these seminars grant access to rock star presenters including celebrity chefs and sought-after winemakers.

Friday’s festivities takes you down to Pismo Beach for a tasting of the winners of the Sunset International Wine Competition and a multi-course dinner prepared by a collaboration of chefs from along this coastal region ($125/person). Your third option, held Saturday evening, is at Windfall Farms in Paso Robles Wine Country. Taste the terroir of Paso Robles wines and the delectable flavors of local renowned restaurants, fulfilling the wine-lover’s dream ($75/person).
